We built this wide belt with a smooth faux leather front panel paired to a heavy elastic band. The front laces adjust with cords through metal eyelets, while the back fastens with snap buttons so you do not have to untie it each time. It wraps flat over loose tunics, sweaters, or woven skirts.

Front panel construction

We cut the front section from smooth faux leather that holds its shape against the body. Metal eyelets anchor the lace-up cord so you can tighten or slacken the front fit before snapping the band closed.

Wide elastic band

The back of the belt uses a broad woven elastic strap that stretches around the waist. It sits flat against shirts and dresses without rolling or folding over when you sit down.

Rear snap closure

Metal press-studs secure the back of the elastic band. You set your preferred cord tension at the front once, then use the rear snap buttons to put the piece on and take it off.

Airing and care

Wipe the faux leather clean with a damp cloth and let it dry flat. When first unpacked, leave the piece in a well-ventilated space for an afternoon to let the synthetic material air out.
