We cut this sun hat from a light, quick-drying woven fabric with a broad brim that shades the face and neck. The crown unzips completely when you want to convert the piece into an open-top visor. A slot at the back lets thick hair or a high ponytail sit naturally without bunching the fabric.

Convertible crown and visor

A fine zipper around the head band detaches the top crown cleanly, turning the piece into an open visor. An opening at the back lets you pull a bun or ponytail through easily.

Wide structured brim

We built the brim wide enough to cast a full circle of shade across the face and ears. The edge holds its shape well and recovers quickly after being folded down into a tote bag.

Adjustable chin strap

A lightweight cord with a textured toggle keeps the hat secured under the chin on breezy trails. The strap can be tightened down or removed when you prefer a clean look.

Wash and care

Rinse the hat in cool water and hang it by the strap to dry. The woven synthetic cloth sheds light water on contact and dries rapidly on a clothesline.
