A soft cotton knit forms the body of these little dress socks, shaped with a knit heel and smooth toe seam. We gathered a double tier of frilly lace along the foldover cuff so it sits around the ankle like a flower. The ribbed top folds down cleanly and stays in place without pinching.

Double lace ruffle

We sew two gathered tiers of lace trim directly into the foldover top. The ruffles flare out around the ankle and hold their full shape above low shoes or dress flats.

Foldover rib cuff

The turn-down cuff uses a fine vertical rib that grips gently without binding. You can fold the cuff lower or pull it up slightly along the leg to position the lace where you want.

Cotton yarn body

A smooth cotton knit keeps the footbed soft through a long day. We added elastic through the knit so the sock stretches easily over the heel and snaps back around the instep.

Care and wash

Turn the socks inside out before washing to keep the lace edges from snagging on other items. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, then lay flat to dry so the ruffles keep their gather.
