We built this tutu with three gathered tiers of sheer netting set over an underskirt. The wide elastic waist pulls up easily and recovers its shape after hours of wear. It shakes out full straight from the drawer and holds its volume through dress-up games and stage rehearsals.

Gathered tulle tiers

Three full layers of lightweight mesh create the outward flare. The netting holds its lift without sagging and shakes out smooth after being packed away in a costume box.

Smooth underskirt lining

We added a solid base layer beneath the mesh tiers. The underskirt sits soft and flat against tights or bare legs, keeping the outer netting from catching on other garments.

Enclosed elastic band

The stretchy waist band is sewn flat to hold its position through active movement. It expands to pull on without clasps or ties and settles gently at the middle.
