We built this cold-weather hat with a water-repellent shell over a dense fleece interior. The fleece ear flaps drop low when the wind picks up and secure under the chin with a quick-release buckle. A flexible brim keeps wet snow out of your line of sight without adding bulk.

Convertible ear flaps

The drop-down flaps cover the ears and lower neck, fastening under the chin with a snap buckle you can open with gloves on. You can also fold them up and secure them over the crown when the air warms up.

Brushed fleece lining

Inside, the brushed thermal fleece lining sits soft against the head and holds warmth close. The outer shell sheds light snow and drizzle, leaving the interior soft and dry through a long day of outdoor work.

Crushable soft brim

Instead of a stiff insert, we shaped the visor with a flexible core that shades your eyes from falling sleet. It bends easily so you can roll the entire cap up and slide it into a jacket pocket.

Built-in stash pocket

A small zippered pocket on the side holds a key, cash, or lip balm so your hands stay free. The back strap adjusts the crown tension to keep the hat seated firmly in high winds.
