We knit these full-finger gloves from a soft acrylic yarn that gives small fingers room to bend and grip. The knit has plenty of crosswise stretch so hands can slide in without a fight. A tidy ribbed wrist holds the opening close to the jacket cuff.

Acrylic knit gauge

We chose a fine acrylic yarn that feels smooth against the fingers and yields easily when gripping pencils or backpack straps. The knit density keeps chilly air off the hands during morning walks.

Ribbed wrist cuff

The cuff is worked in a stretchy rib that gathers gently around the wrist. It holds the glove in place without pinching and tucks neatly under winter coat sleeves at the bus stop.

Full finger construction
