We sew this short denim skirt from a black cotton twill with a touch of stretch yarn woven through the fabric. The high waistband closes with a front button, and deep side cargo pockets hold small carry items flat against the hip. It holds its line through regular wash and line drying.

Denim weave

Cotton twill gives this fabric its body, while a little stretch yarn helps it give slightly when you sit or walk. The black dye runs deep through the warp and weft.

Cargo pocket construction

The side pockets sit flat along the thigh with folded bellows for extra depth. They close securely so keys or a phone stay put without bulging.

High waist band

We stitch a firm, structured waistband that fastens at the front with a metal button. Belt loops are bar-tacked around the top seam for added strength.

Washing and care

Turn the skirt inside out before washing in cold water to keep the black denim rich. Hang it on a line to dry so the twill keeps its shape without shrinking.
