We knit these long with a loose, relaxed gauge along the leg so the fabric stacks without binding. The green yarn is soft to the touch and holds its body after repeated washing. You can gather the ribs down low over low shoes or pull the sock straight up over the calf.

Relaxed leg rib

The wide ribbing along the tube gives the sock enough elasticity to stay in place while allowing it to settle into thick, soft folds around the ankle.

Flat toe seam

We close the toe with a smooth, flat seam across the top of the foot. It sits quietly inside boots and sneakers without rubbing against the toes.

Formed heel pocket

A shaped heel cup anchors the base of the sock so the foot bed stays put while the upper leg is pushed down into gathers.

Yarn and laundering

We wash-tested this yarn for colourfastness and recovery. Wash in cold water with similar tones and tumble dry low or hang to dry on a line.
