We knit this scarf with fine acrylic yarn for a smooth, pliable hand that stays soft around the collar. The alternating black and grey pattern runs end to end. It has enough length for a double wrap without bunching up under a jacket.

Striped knit pattern

The contrasting horizontal stripes are knit directly into the body of the scarf. This keeps the colour blocks crisp on both faces without stiff backing threads or heavy bulk.

Yarn and hand

We selected a lightweight acrylic yarn that feels soft against the neck straight off the needles. It holds its loft and body through repeated wear and does not pill easily.

Length and drape

The scarf has plenty of length to drape loosely over the shoulders or wind into a neat double loop. The knit sits flat along the edges so it does not roll into a tight cord.

Washing and care

Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent and lay the scarf flat on a towel to dry. If you prefer, dry cleaning also preserves the drape and keeps the striping sharp.
