We knit this baby cap with two layers of soft yarn for a dense, warm fabric. The foldover brim adjusts to sit securely without squeezing. A classic pom pom tops off the crown in deep red.

Double layer knit

We construct this beanie with an inner and outer knit layer. The double thickness traps air between the courses while keeping the interior smooth against the head.

Turnback brim

The wide cuff folds up or down to adjust the depth of the cap. Ribbing through the turnback provides gentle tension so the hat stays in place.

Yarn pom pom

A full yarn pom pom is stitched securely to the top of the crown. We use the same red yarn as the main body so the piece looks uniform.

Care and shape

Hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent. Reshape the crown and brim while damp, then lay the hat flat on a towel to dry.
